Samsung Genio Slide hits stores
January 18th 2010

You don't think this news from Samsung is an attempt at spoiling LG's earlier announcement about its first Android phone also hitting the stores today? No, of course not!
The Genio Slide is the latest model in the Genio family, a range of handsets aimed at the youth market.
Like the Genio Touch and Genio QWERTY, the Genio Slide offers an affordable package with access to Twitter and Facebook, plus a 3-megapixel fixed focus camera, 3G with HSPA for high-speed data, 2.8-inch touchscreen and 'fashion jackets' - or changeable battery covers to you and me.
The Genio slide also supports BBC iPlayer, while the web browser features a one-touch zoom feature (holding and dragging a finger up or down the screen) to make reading web pages easier. Smart unlock allows a specific gesture to be made on the screen to unlock the phone.
The phone is available for one month as an exclusive on Vodafone, before being released on other networks.
