LG's first entry into the world of Android has gone on sale today for T-Mobile and Virgin Media customers in the UK. The InTouch Max GW620 will be free on 18 and 24-month contracts.

LG first announced its new Android phone back in September 2009, with a planned pre-Christmas release. Although that never happened, LG has now got the phone hitting the streets on two UK networks; T-Mobile and Virgin Media.

For T-Mobile, the phone is free on a two-year contract at £20 a month, with unlimited data.

Virgin Media customers can get the phone free on a 18-month contract for £22 a month, with unlimited data and texts.

The InTouch Max GW620 has a 3-inch touchscreen display, 5-megapixel camera and a powerful 1500mAh battery. It also comes with an integrated application (Linkbook) to allow you to jump to your social networking profiles from your contact list.

Perhaps the biggest advantage of the GW620 is the five-row QWERTY keyboard, allowing easy entry of numbers without using a separate control/alt button.
