iPhone now available on Vodafone in UK: 50,000 sold first day

Vodafone today begins shipping the iPhone 3G and 3GS models in the UK. 50,000 people will get their iPhone on the first day, having pre-registered, the highest first day sales on any network selling the iPhone.
The iPhone 3G is free of charge on a £35 contract, with a £30 24-month contract also available. Users will get up to 1GB of data included, and can also use Wi-Fi at home, work and on BT Openzone Wi-Fi networks.
The iPhone is available from Vodafone retail stores, online, via Apple retail outlets, Carphone Warehouse, Phones 4U and 20 carefully selected business dealers.
