Sony Ericsson unveils Xperia X10 Android phone

Sony Ericsson has finally unveiled its first Android phone, the Xperia X10. Originally rumoured to be running Android 2.0, the device will actually ship with 1.6 - but a number of exclusive enhancements that form the basis of a future 'user experience' interface to be added to other models released in 2010.

The Xperia X10 will be released in Q1 of 2010 and further information on availability and pricing will be released later. Operators are not expected to see near-final versions for another couple of weeks.
