Orange launches its first Android handset, the HTC Hero

Orange will be launching its first Android phone (aka Google Phone) with the release of the HTC Hero - on sale from early July.
Available exclusively in 'graphite', it is the first of many Android phones that Orange intends to release in 2009.
It will be free of charge on selected price plans and exclusive to Orange in a 'Graphite' colour.
The HTC Hero sports a 5-megapixel camera, A-GPS, 512MB of on-board memory (with microSDHC expansion taking it up by as much as 32GB), a 3.2-inch HVGA display and anti-fingerprint (Teflon) coating for smudge resistance and a longer lasting, clearer display.
Orange will sell the HTC Hero for free to customers taking out a £39.15 per month, two-year contract. This includes 1200 any network calls, unlimited texts and also inclusive anytime Internet browsing.
