Boost your mobile signal with Vodafone's Access Gateway

A small plug-in box, known as a 'femtocell', will shortly be available to Vodafone subscribers to improve phone coverage in and around the home.
Femtocells, which look similar to a standard broadband or wireless router, plug in to your existing home broadband connection and act as miniature base stations.
The Vodafone Access Gateway is one of the first commercially available devices and is exclusive to Vodafone subscribers. It will be available from July 1st via Vodafone stores and online.
The plug-in box improves coverage within the home and allows up to four voice calls to be made at the same time, using your broadband connection instead of routing calls via the standard GSM/3G network.
The Vodafone Access Gateway is available for a one-off £160 charge, or a rental fee that begins at £5 per month. Once ordered, customers register online the mobile numbers they want linked to the Access Gateway and allow up to 24 hours for activation.
