iPhone 15 from £1,599 for top-spec Pro Max down to £799 for base 15

The iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus will be available from September 22 in hed five colours: pink, yellow, green, blue, and black. Both models lose the Lightning port which is now a USB C connector for charging and data transfer, offering a universal standard across Apple devices,The iPhone 15 range will cost more or less the same as the iPhone 14 range a year ago. The ’15’ prices range as high as £1,599 for the top-spec Pro Max with 1TB storage down to £799 for the base 15 with 128BGB.

As expected the Lightning port has been replaced by the more universal USBC connection standard in line with EU demands.

The iPhone 15 gets the Dynamic Island interface and last year’s Pro functions such as Roadside Assistance via satellite. A 48MP Main camera offers a new 24MP default setting a new 2x Telephoto option, and next-gen portrait capabilities.

The iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus come with 6.1-inch and 6.7-inch screens. The Dynamic Island feature provides an interaction platform for essential alerts Peak HDR brightness reaching up to 1600 nits and 2000 nits in bright outdoor conditions.

Both models have aerospace-grade aluminium enclosures with a contoured edge for enhanced comfort and Ceramic Shield front cover durability. Water- and dust-resistant is built in.

An advanced 48MP Main camera has with a quad-pixel sensor and 100 per cent Focus Pixels for swift autofocus. Computational photography enhances image quality and offers a new 24MP super-high-resolution default mode. There are three optical-quality zoom levels (0.5x, 1x, 2x) with the introduction of a 2x Telephoto option to the iPhone dual-camera system.

The 15 gets the A16 Bionic chip from the iPhone 14 Pro with a 6-core CPU and 5-core GPU. The 16-core Neural Engine facilitates rapid machine learning computations while ensuring privacy and security.

This advancement enhances Precision Finding for Find My, allowing iPhone 15 users to share their location and locate each other even in crowded areas, all while maintaining robust privacy safeguards.
