The Huawei Ascend W1 has been rumoured for a while but itís looking likely that itíll be launched in November alongside rival Windows Phone 8 devices, such as the Nokia Lumia 920 and HTC Windows Phone 8X.
However, unlike other Windows Phone 8 devices weíve seen of late, the Huawei Ascend W1 looks very much like being an entry-level or budget smartphone.
The 4-inch screen is thought to have a standard 800 x 480-pixel resolution and the device itself powered by a 1.2GHz dual-core processor.
There is no word on features, such as the camera, but itís thought the Huawei Ascend W1 will come with 512MB of RAM and a mere 4GB of internal storage.
Where the Huawei Ascend W1 will share common-ground with the HTC and Nokia Windows Phone 8 devices is its colours. The latest leaked shots of the handset show a cyan blue version and weíre speculating that it won’t be the only colour option in the range.
The latest rumour is that, in terms of pricing, we can expect the Huawei Ascend W1 to come in around the £192 mark SIM free, but weíll have to wait for an official announcement to find out whether this is true or not.
If the Huawei Ascend W1 does appear with a sub-£200 price tag do you think itís worth considering or will you be opting for the HTC, Nokia or Samsung Windows Phone 8 smartphones? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below.
